Sun was born in 1933 in the Tahti village. He served in the Mituo township government. Later on, he worked as the chief of the Agricultural Extension Section, Farmers’ Association. Then, he worked as the chief of the Mechanical Division in Mitsui Taiwan.
When Mituo residents speak of the Niaosung culture, they think of Sun. While driving a cattle to plow the rice fields in 1954, Sun found an intact bracelet, a stone knife and some decorations. The archeological scholars in Academia Sinica confirmed that those remains belong to the Niaosung culture layer.
