Lee was born in 1934 and graduated from the Mituo Primary School. He has devoted his lifetime to developing new varieties of tomatoes and vegetables. As seed-collecting consumes a high amount of time and effort, Lee has striven to improve the technology.
Lee went to various overseas places for obtaining seeding and planting information. The 70-year-old farmer has been by no means less industrious than agricultural research organizations.
Lee did not work in vain. He improved cucumber and gherkin plants for yielding plump, bountiful fruits. The results of these efforts won him the prize of “Ten Outstanding Farmers”.
