  Aquaculture of milkfish
  Category: Aquacultur
Mituo sits on the southwest coast of the island. A good part of the villagers are in the aquacultural industry. The fish farms are where ocean and land meet. Some villagers build dikes in the water body or low-lying land along the coast. Some dig fish ponds in inland areas that lie close to the coast
Mituo has 600 hectares of fish pond. That includes 480 hectares salt water ponds, 80 hectares fresh water ponds and 40 hectares in disuse. In these ponds, you see milkfish, shrimps, breams, groupers and mullets. Milkfish ponds alone account for 300 hectares, outputting three million kilos of milkfish on an annual basis.
